Our walk for groceries. Turn your head to the right, and you can see the banisters snaking down... |
I like the funny steps and the gates. Today at 3:30 we went around town and we went to the church and the cathedral. They had paintings of men and angels. We also went to the library and I got a Geronimo Stilton book. Magdalena and her friend went with us and they came back with us and then they showed the girls where to get breakfast.

Dear everyone,
Sorry, I wasn't able to turn this! Turn your head to the left to get the idea! |
Here are some views of our walk to get groceries. As we said earlioer, steps, steps, and more steps! There’s also a picture of the square at night; of course, the pics don’t do the color justice.
In the meantime, the people have been very welcoming. The rental agent had her daughter escort the kids around town today, and I think we’re getting together tomorrow for drinks. The agent’s office is directly below her house – quite a nice commute, I’d say!
Everyone slept late today, but we did get some schoolwork done before we went out. We have bought two cookbooks, and Eleanor’s responsible for dinner tonight. Tomorrow is Florence’s turn. We now have books of nursery rhymes for recitation next week!
Jeremy was beside himself with excitement at setting up the printer – only problem is that it’s not wireless, and I don’t have the correct cable yet. Sigh. The kids were amused to discover that “standard” paper is not actually “standard” – the paper over here is a different shape/size from that in the States – narrower and longer.
Love,
Alexandra
