Silly observations of things that help in saving space/energy/whatever...
1. The toilet paper rolls are compressed in the packaging to save space/shipping.
2. The oven has a timer that must be put on for the length of time you want the stuff to bake (like a jacuzzi, for instance)
3. Packaging tends to have less airspace here
4. Refrigerator cases in grocery are at a higher temperature than here.
Also, the boys went out shopping today. James has money completely burning a hole in his pocket! He's buying all sorts of toys for (probably) crazy amounts of money -- on the other hand, he's interacting with people, so I'm not putting the kibosh on it! It was very nice to see them going off together to the main piazza...
